Alaska Gasline Development Corp. (AGDC) has announced that the US Vice President, Mike Pence, has met with Alaskan Governor Bill Walker and AGDC President Keith Meyer.

Meyer said: “We had an excellent briefing and discussion with Vice President Pence about the Alaska LNG project.

“Our meeting was a perfect precursor to the Vice President's trip to Asia.”

Over the next few days, Pence will meet with leaders in both Japan and South Korea, which are two key markets for Alaska LNG. Trade partnerships will reportedly be a primary point of discussion.

This latest meeting follows an earlier meeting in April 2017, when the Chinese President, Xi Jinping visited Anchorage to meet with Walker and Meyer after having already met with President Trump. Again, the Alaska LNG project and trading relationships were a significant point of discussion.
