Saipem and Jan De Nul sign LOI for Rovuma LNG project

Saipem and Jan De Nul have signed a letter of intent (LOI) with ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada, on behalf of the Mozambique Rovuma Venture S.p.A (MRV) representing the Area 4 partners (ENH, CNPC, ENI, KOGAS, and XRG) for the Rovuma LNG Phase 1 EPCI contract.

The project aims at developing upstream facilities to deliver offshore gas to the onshore Rovuma LNG liquefaction plant in Palma via subsea pipelines and manifolds. The LOI includes preliminary engineering, procurement, and technical services to advance the project definition and planning. The final award of the project is subject to the final investment decision and government and regulatory approvals, expected within 2026.
