Steelhead LNG announces new appointments to executive leadership

Steelhead LNG has announced two new appointments to the company’s executive team.

Paul Sullivan, the former Senior Vice President of Global LNG and Floating LNG (FLNG) at Worley Parsons Group, has been appointed Vice President, Projects. Sullivan has extensive experience in engineering and construction, and has managed LNG import and export projects for over 25 years. He previously lead the front end engineering and design (FEED) group at British Gas, where he was involved in the company’s liquefaction and regasification projects, from concept to implementation. He also played a significant role in developing British Gas’ first grassroots liquefaction project in Trinidad, Atlantic LNG. In addition to this, Sullivan also previously served as the Development and Projects Director for Whessoe Oil & Gas, where he was responsible for front end engineering, product innovation and project development, as well as for operations in the western hemisphere, India and East Asia.

Sullivan said: “Steelhead LNG is at an exciting point and has the potential to be a game changer in the LNG industry.

“I look forward to overseeing the next phase of development of the company’s at-shore LNG export projects, which have the potential to deliver some of the lowest cost LNG to international markets.”

In addition to this, Gerry Peereboom has been appointed Vice President, Integration. Peereboom has experience on major oil, gas and LNG projects for companies including Amoco, BP and Noble Energy. His experience includes a range of international commercial, financial and general managerial positions. He previously served as the President of Atlantic LNG when it was developed for BP/Amoco in the mid-1990s. Following this, he served as the President of Tangguh LNG for BP, based in Indonesia. In his new role. He will lead the schedule, risk assessment and risk mitigation across the company, whilst also playing a significant role in the on-going structure of the midstream and interface with Steelhead LNG’s upstream partner, Seven Generations Energy. Furthermore, he will also oversee the development and application of Steelhead LNG’s environment stewardship best practices.

Peereboom said: “I see Steelhead LNG as one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the industry and am excited to join the team.

“Working together with our upstream partner Seven Generations Energy, I believe Steelhead LNG will develop sustainable projects that deliver LNG with some of the lowest emissions across the entire value chain.”

Both Peereboom and Sullivan will be based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia (B.C.), Canada.
