PHI HNZ performs first flight for Ichthys LNG Project

In December 2016, HNZ Group Inc. – a helicopter transportation and related support services company – announced that it had entered into a joint venture (JV) with PHI Inc. to provide offshore helicopter transportation services for the Ichthys LNG project. PHI HNZ Australia PTY Ltd has now performed its first flight for the INPEX-led project.

PHI HNZ supplies up to four Sikorsky S-92 heavy helicopters for the project. These provide transportation services for the project’s major offshore facilities off of the Australian coast.

This latest contract builds on the company’s current business in Australia, where it has provided helicopter transportation services for more than 20 years. The contract with the Ichthys LNG Project represents the second customer and offshore base HNZ supports in Australia.
