Wood Group has announced it has secured a new contract from ConocoPhillips. Wood Group PSN will provide brownfield engineering services with immediate effect to both the Bayu-Undan Field and the Darwin LNG plant at Wickham Point, Darwin, Australia.

The contract will also cover the related floating, storage and offloading (FSO) facilities and subsea pipelines. Personnel will be based at Perth in Western Australia and at Dili in Timor-Leste, with a Wood Group Kenny team providing subsea engineering expertise.

The Managing Director for Wood Group PSN Australia & Asia Pacific, Andrew Stewart, said: “This win is a privileged addition to our existing brownfield modifications capabilities, particularly across our growing LNG activities in Australia and Asia Pacific. To deliver this contract, we are delighted to be able to harness the collaborative expertise of Wood Group PSN in brownfield services and Wood Group Kenny in subsea engineering.

“Hiring and developing local personnel and supporting supply chain companies in the communities where we operate are priorities for Wood Group. Our commitment will be reflected in this contract, particularly in Timor-Leste where we will maximise employment opportunities for people in the region, having due regard to safety and good oil field practice.”
