SRG secures international LNG tank project with Hyundai

David Macgeorge, the Managing Director of SRG, said: “We are very pleased to be awarded the work on this key project with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd. which represents a significant achievement for SRG’s international team. The AUS$26.5 million project is a major contract win and demonstrates the strong progress in developing our international business.
“Our strong track record of having successfully delivered post-tensioning works utilising the BBR System on a number of LNG and LPG tank projects in other parts of the world previously was key to the award of this project.”
Under the terms of the contract, SRG will be responsible for post-tensioning eight LNG storage tanks, which are a core part of the Al Zour LNG import project in Kuwait. Once operational, the facility is expected to produce approximately 22 million tpy of gas, and will have a storage capacity of 1.8 million m3 of LNG.
