Energy and infrastructure lawyer joins Andrews Kurth as a partner

Andrews Kurth (Middle East) DMCC has announced that Patricia Tiller has joined the company’s office in Dubai as a partner. Tiller is an experienced energy and infrastructure lawyer and will help to provide the company with experience in negotiating and drafting commercial project documentation and associated financing arrangements. She will also advise on deals for international firms in Asia, the Middle East and Australia. She has been a resident of Dubai since 2009, and has worked on a number of project throughout the Middle East and Africa. For instance, Tiller worked on the region’s first offshore LNG regasification project, as well as the US$3 billion Dubai metro project.

Andrews Kurth’s Managing Partner, Bob Jewell, said: “Patricia will be a valuable asset for our global clients, particularly in the energy sector, where she has a depth of experience in a variety of projects involving acquisitions and joint ventures.”

Tiller’s representations have included work on behalf of the following:

  • Kuwait Gulf Oil Co. on issues under a joint operating agreement in the Saudi Arabia-Kuwait Neutral Zone.
  • Dragon Oil on its bid to obtain a number of exploration and production (E&P) blocks in Egypt.
  • A joint venture (JV) partner on the various aspects of the US$17 million Basrah gas project in Iraq.
  • Emirates LNG on all of the different aspects of its LNG project.
