Sakhalin-2 resumes LNG production

According to Reuters, the Sakhalin-2 LNG production plant has now fully restored production. This follows the announcement made in early 2016 that there was a technical fault with the gas compressor.
Nonetheless, the maintenance work has been completed on schedule, as reports following the fault claimed that the plant would continue operating in March 2016.
Shareholders in Sakhalin Energy Investment Co. Ltd – the project operator – include: Gazprom Sakhalin Holdings B.V., Shell Sakhalin Holdings B.V., Mitsui Sakhalin Holdings B.V. and Diamond Gas Holdings B.V. Gazprom Sakhalin Holdings B.V. is the major shareholder, with a 50% plus one share.
