Due to the foundation of the FPSO Cidade de Itaguaí in late July, both oil and LNG output in Brazil have increased. The vessel is anchored in Iracema Norte in the Santos Basin pre-salt cluster and produces 8 million m3/d of LNG. Output has also increased because maintenance on other platforms has ended.
In August, Petrobras’ total output reached 2.88 million boe/d. This is a record for Petrobras and is 0.8% higher than the previous record of 2.86 million boe/d from December 2014. Additionally, it is 4.5% than in August 2014, and 3.1% higher than in July 2015.
