The FLNG unit will have a capacity of 238 700 m3, and will integrate eight LNG tanks equipped with the Mark III membrane containment system. It will be the world’s second largest FLNG unit, and will operate off the coast of Mozambique.
The unit will be constructed at South Korea-based SHI Shipyard on behalf of ENI. Delivery of the unit is scheduled for 2021.
The Chairman and CEO of GTT, Philippe Berterottière, said: “We are very pleased to be part of this new FLNG project. After the recent delivery of the very first FLNG and the up-coming delivery of the largest FLNG ever built, this award demonstrates GTT technologies are the solution of choice for these offshore LNG units.”
