Delfin delays Louisiana FLNG export project

Reuters is reporting that Delfin Midstream has delayed its plans to take a final investment decision (FID) on its proposed floating LNG (FLNG) export terminal until 2020.
Under this new timetable, Delfin has said that now that it is looking to take an FID on the terminal project, located offshore Louisiana, in 2020, it is expecting to target mid 2024 for first LNG production.
This latest Delfin project will look to utilise existing offshore pipelines to supply gas to approximately four FLNG vessels. These vessels have the capacity to produce up to 13 million tpy of LNG, or 1.7 billion ft3/d of natural gas.
