LNG Industry,

What started as a series of networking events promoting diversity in the LNG industry has turned into an award program designed to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of remarkable women and the men who uphold the importance of supporting and empowering them in the industry. These individuals demonstrate how a mutually supportive environment can help support great business outcomes across all parts of the LNG value chain.

ExxonMobil announces Power Play Awards highlighting women in LNG

The key objectives of these awards are to shine a light on the newcomers and smaller players in the LNG value chain and, in particular, encouraging nominations from resource holders, buyers, partners and FSRU providers.

Nominations for the awards are completely free to submit and fall within three categories:

The Rising Star - Outstanding Young Professional
The Rising Star Award celebrates one woman, 35 or under, who is excelling early in her LNG career. She shows tenacity and passion through her already noteworthy contributions in the LNG sector. Known by peers and mentors as part of the next generation of LNG leadership, she's someone to watch.

The Vanguard - Outstanding Leadership
The Vanguard Award honours a woman or man who through their words, actions and attitude, inspires those who work with and around them. This individual has a collaborative leadership style that builds bridges and finds solutions. They carry a sense of purpose in all that they do, whilst maintaining a commitment to ethical work practices with the aim of being a responsible global citizen.

The Rainmaker - Outstanding Business Impact
The Rainmaker Award honours a woman who has delivered outstanding business results, showcasing the value that women bring to the LNG value chain. Colleagues might note her unrelenting drive or unique ability to advance a business goal, but she likely describes herself as someone who thrives on success. Qualifying events may include, for example, the close of large deal, launch into a new country, a new installation, a cost-saving initiative or an innovative commercial deal.

Anyone is welcome to submit a nomination, but all nominees must be employed within the LNG value chain. Winners for each category will be determined by a combination of the final judges’ scores and community votes. Hurry! Award nominations must be submitted by 15 July 2019.

The inaugural Power Play Awards will be awarded at Gastech Exhibition and Conference 2019 on 18 September 2019.
