LNG Industry,
The Gazprom Management Committee has taken notice of information about the progress with implementing the 2014 – 2015 Action Plan for strengthening the company's position in the international natural gas vehicle (NGV) sector.
Comprehensive efforts were made within the Plan to outline Gazprom's development areas in this sector. In particular, the company has chosen priority international markets. Special attention was paid to potential market capacity, the possibility of arranging Russian NGV fuel supply, and the economic effect derived from converting vehicles to natural gas.
The target parameters of the Gazprom’s activities in international NGV markets were defined for 2014 – 2015 and through to 2030. When defining the parameters, goals and objectives included securing long-term growth in demand for natural gas to be used in transport, building up Russian natural gas supply to international markets and raising the efficiency of Gazprom's NGV business.
The outlined target parameters will make it possible to maintain the sustained growth in natural gas supply from the Gazprom’s portfolio to be used as a vehicle fuel as well as to increase the international retail sales of NGV fuel in the form of LNG and CNG through the Gazprom-owned network of filling stations.
