LNG-powered ConRo vessel launched

Following the recent news that Crowley Maritime Corp. and VT Halter Marine have launched a new Commitment Class vessel, Crowley has released a video of the event.

The vessel, El Coquí, is one of the first ConRo ships to be powered by LNG in Pasacagoula, Mississippi, US. Its launch is just one of a series of milestones expected to be achieved this week as part of the company’s US$550 million project to expand and modernise its shipping and logistics services between Jacksonville, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
