Cryostar to equip LNG and CNG project

Cryostar has been selected by Sweden's AGA GAS AB to equip a liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied-compressed natural gas (LCNG) station, located in Örebro, 200 km west of Stockholm.

At the end of 2013, AGA GAS award Cryostar the contract to supply equipment for its new LNG and LCNG station in Örebro. The sation forms part of the LNG Blue Corridor project, under the European Seventh Framework Programme, which aims to roll out and demonstrate both heavy duty vehicles and LNG/LCNG infrastructure across Sweden, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal.

As of March this year, AGA Gas AB successfully started the Örebro station. The site integrates Cryostar’s SUBTRAN submerged pump skid, LNG dispenser, MRP high pressure pump, PLC control system, and its unique liquefied nitrogen cooling system that prevents the release of boil-off gas (BOG) to the atmosphere. The new station will provide both LNG and CNG.
