James Edward Burns has been named as the new President of Blu LNG.
Burns will lead Blu LNG's day-to-day operations and strategic direction. He will focus specifically on maximising the company's recent innovations and working to expand its reach in domestic LNG use.
In addition to trucking, Blu LNG intends to expand into the broader LNG market, including marine, mining, rail, oil and gas and other industrial applications.
Burns most recently worked as President of Fortress Energy Partners. Prior to that, he worked for Shell for 14 years in positions including general manager for LNG for transportation and global LNG finance advisor.
Blu LNG recently launched the Blu V2 Fuel Delivery System, a new LNG fuel tank that features an innovative one-piece design. The company also opened a new facility to serve LNG customers in the Pacific Northwest and announced several partnerships and agreements with companies including Ryder, Comdata and Interstate Distributors. This year, Blue LNG also began operating innovative gas recapture and power generating systems at its Nampa, Idaho and Ogden, Utah facilities.
