Chart celebrates 25 years of cryogenic ISO containers

The standard 20 ft and 40 ft containers were originally developed for the safe, economical and convenient transport by road, rail and water of atmospheric and technical gases for industry and leisure. They are now widely used for LNG too, and are key components in the company’s small scale LNG solutions.
Chart claims that the containers are integral to its skid-mounted natural gas vehicle (NGV) fuelling stations, on board ship fuelling systems, satellite stations and even feature as tender cars for natural gas powered locomotives. In 2016, the company delivered an LNG virtual pipeline solution enabling the island of Madeira’s power station to burn natural gas, regardless of the fact that it is not connected to the pipeline grid.
