Gate Terminal – a Gasunie and Vopak joint venture (JV) – has announced that it has successfully started commercial operations of its two new truck loading bays at the LNG terminal in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Gate Terminal claims that it has experienced a 50% increase in truck loadings in the y/y comparison, with approximately 750 trucks being loaded in 1H17.

Gate Terminal claims that, by adding the two new truck loading bays to the existing terminal, it is ready to cater for a future increase in demand for LNG distribution via road or container. This will support Gate Terminal customers in delivering LNG to retail stations, industry and ships.
