LNG Industry,
Zeeland Seaports has announced that the pilot truck-to-ship LNG bunkering operation has been successfully carried out in the port of Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Chemgas first approached Zeeland Seaports in October 2015 to examine the potential for the bunkering operation.
Based on the results of the pilot, Zeeland Seaports will make a decision on whether consistent LNG bunkering in the port will be realised by the end of 2016.
This announcement follows Zeeland Seaports’ recently presented Strategic Master Plan, which includes the aim of significantly reducing both CO2 and nitrogen emissions.
