The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Singapore LNG Corp. Pte Ltd (SLNG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on an interim LNG truck loading facility at the Singapore LNG terminal.

The facility will also be used to serve a variety of other industries that may require small volumes of LNG to be transported over land. MPA has committed up to approximately S$2 million to co-fund the development of this facility, which would be used to service LNG bunkering, as well as a variety of other industries that may require small volumes of LNG to be transported over land. The facility will be operationally ready by early 2017.

The signing ceremony was held as part of the official opening of the 19th Singapore International Bunkering Conference & Exhibition (SIBCON 2016), held at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.
