LNG Industry,
Six years ago small scale LNG (SSLNG) was considered new and exotic. The market had only a few early-established players. In recent years there have been many positive developments.
Looking from the supply side, the availability of SSLNG increased significantly. The fall in demand – and willingness to pay – in traditional gas markets has encouraged large-scale gas sellers to look for new growth opportunities.
Now, the small scale LNG market is projected to grow from 262.38 million tpy in 2016 to 299.15 million tpy by 2021, at a CAGR of 2.7% between 2016 and 2021.
The infrastructure of small scale LNG will be discussed in a panel discussion during ‘LNG Solutions: Fuelling the Future Summit’ in October in Nice, France.
During the event, the Small Scale LNG Project of the Year award will be given in the exclusive gala dinner.
