Klaipedos Nafta announces LNG capacity allocation procedure

SC Klaipedos Nafta has announced its LNG terminal capacities allocation procedure for the upcoming gas year, from 1 October 2015 to 1 October 2016.

It has also issued an invitation for potential users of the LNG terminal to submit their requests for allocation of the LNG terminal’s capacities for the year.

Klaipedos Nafta performs the allocation of LNG terminal capacities according to the publicly announced Regulations for Use of Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal, which have been verified and approved by the company’s board and the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (NCECP).

The foundation LNG regasification capacities, seasonal LNG regasification capacities and seasonal LNG reloading capacities will be allocated during the allocation procedure. The total volume of the LNG terminal capacity being allocated is 1.45 billion m3/yr , which is equivalent to 2.5 million m3/yr of LNG.

After the launch of the new gas transmission pipeline connection Klaipeda- Kursenai, regasification restrictions for the LNG terminal will be abolished.

Klaipedos Nafta will regularly update its website with information regarding free capacities within the LNG terminal throughout the gas year. The Company will accept the requests of potential LNG terminal users until 25 May 2015.
