GRTgaz has announced that the Dunkirk LNG terminal has been physically connected to the French transmission network.
The Dunkirk LNG terminal is scheduled to receive its first test LNG cargo in early 2016.
The pipeline has a diameter of 0.9 m, so, if operating at the full capacity of 1.9 million m3/hr (or 520 GWh/d), the terminal will be capable of serving 20% of French and Belgian natural gas demand.
