OLT Offshore LNG Toscana has announced that it has allocated five slots for the regasification and storage bundled service at its FSRU Toscana terminal.

The company’s tender received a positive response, with 12 different companies presenting an offer. OLT Offshore LNG Toscana said that it was only possible to allocate five slots, due to operational limits.

One of the five slots will be allocated in June, with the remaining four divided equally between July and August. The total quantity of the five slots is 440 million m3 of gas, which will be sent to the Stogit storage system.

A statement from OLT Offshore LNG Toscana said: “OLT is particularly pleased with the outcome of the tender. This represents a result [that] can be interpreted positively both in terms of market recovery and as the progressive accreditation of the plant in the chain of [LNG]. Furthermore, we are happy to […] contribute to the security of energy supplies in Italy.”
