GTT to equip FSRU with Mark III containment system

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has announced that it has received an order from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to equip a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with its Mark III cryogenic membrane containment system.

The order includes one firm vessel and one optional vessel. The 170 000 m³ FSRU will be constructed in Ulsan, South Korea, at HHI’s shipyard on behalf of a European shipowner. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in March 2019, and will also feature a dual-fuel diesel engine motorisation.

JGC Corp. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd have been selected as the EPC contractor for a major low carbon LNG plant as part of the Papua LNG project planned by TotalEnergies and its venture partners in Papua New Guinea.
