Fluxys has announced that the turnover generated by its Fluxys Belgium Group has fallen 3.86% to €123.3 million at the end of March 2015, compared with €128.2 million in the corresponding period of last year.
At the end of 1Q15, investment expenditure totalled €36.1 million. This included the construction of a second jetty for loading and unloading LNG carriers at the Zeebrugge terminal. From 2016, this jetty will be able to receive LNG carriers with a capacity of between 2000 and 217 000 m³. These carriers include LNG bunkering vessels that load LNG to supply other vessels running on LNG or small scale LNG bunkering terminals in other ports.
A statement from the company added that the current financial markets do not allow for accurate projections regarding changes to interest rates and the return on regulated activities.
