Kogas and Total sign MoU to strengthen cooperation

Total has released a statement claiming that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Gas Corp. (Kogas), strengthening their cooperation to explore opportunities in the LNG industry.
Mainly, the two companies will seek to develop the Asian LNG market, as well as other new importing countries. In addition to this, both parties will seek to cooperate in LNG trading and optimise terminals.
Laurent Vivier, President Gas, Total, said: “We are delighted to extend our long-standing cooperation with KOGAS, the world’s largest LNG buyer and regasification terminal operator, along the entire LNG value chain. Our combined expertise will contribute to the generation of successful business opportunities in various LNG and gas sectors.”
The MoU was signed at the LNG 18 event, which is currently underway in Perth, Australia.
