Tokyo Gas and Kansai agree to LNG partnership

According to Reuters, Tokyo Gas and Kansai Electric Power Co. have agreed on a partnership regarding LNG purchases, as well as a technology tie-up on gas-fuelled power plants.

Tokyo Gas is a supplier of gas to Tokyo, Japan, whilst Kansai is the second largest power utility. Shigeru Muraki, the Executive Advisor at Tokyo Gas, recently featured in a video released by Gastech, in which he offered his thoughts on the future of the LNG industry in Japan.
