According to Reuters, Idemitsu Kosan Co. – a Japanese oil refiner – has claimed that its joint venture (JV) project with AltaGas would suspend the commercialisation of a Canadian LNG project.

Reuters claims that both parties were undertaking a feasibility study, examining the possibility of exporting LNG cargoes to Asia.

Reportedly, commercialisation has been suspended due to the current low prices of energy.
