Japan LNG spot price falls

Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has announced that the average LNG spot prices for delivery to Japan in February 2016 has fallen to its lowest point since the Ministry started publishing the data two years ago.
The average spot price of LNG imported into Japan that was contracted in February 2016 was US$6.5/million Btu.
The average spot price of LNG into Japan that arrived in February 2016 was US$6.9/million Btu.
In January 2016, the contract-based price of spot LNG into Japan stood at US$7.1/million Btu, while the arrival-based price of spot LNG into the country was US$7.9/million Btu.
