MRPL and NMPT sign MoU for potential LNG terminal

At the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) conference hall, Shri H. Kumar, the Managing Director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), and Shri P. C. Parida, the Chairman of NMPT, met to discuss potential LNG operations.
MRPL has since announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NMPT in order to discuss the feasibility of setting up an LNG regasification terminal in Mangalore, India. Additionally, the MoU will involve studying the feasibility of setting up a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU).
