Nikkiso to provide pumps for German LNG import terminal

Nikkiso CE&IG is manufacturing high-pressure, low-pressure, and ship-loading pumps for the project, which is being built by German LNG Terminal GmbH and scheduled to be operational in 2027.

The terminal includes two LNG tanks, each with a capacity of 165 000 m³, and will have the capacity to send 10 billion m³/y of gas into Germany’s national grid once operational. The project is built around infrastructure for LNG, bio-LNG, and synthetic natural gas (SNG), but is also designed to enable the transition to even lower-carbon fuel alternatives like hydrogen in the future.

Nikkiso CE&IG has been contracted by the lead EPC contractor, CS Gas North S.L., to provide the pumps for the project.

The award of the contract with CS Gas North S.L follows a similar contract for the Hanseatic Energy Hub in Stade, where Nikkiso CE&IG is supplying 20 low-pressure and nine high-pressure pumps for Germany's largest land-based terminal for liquefied gases.
