MHI-MME delivers regas boiler for Höegh FSRU

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co. Ltd (MHI-MME) has announced that it has delivered a regas boiler to Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (HHI) for a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) developed by Höegh.

The regas boiler mounted on the FSRU has a role in providing the regasification unit with the required heat power (evaporation).

The boiler type selected for this project is a dual-fuel MAC type boiler, ‘MAC-90BF’ (evaporation amount: 90 tph). By recovering the heat of exhaust gas from the regas boiler in this project, the boiler efficiency is improved by 12.5% (from 82.5% up to 95%).

MHI-MME also managed to reduce NOx to less than 100 mg/Nm³, meaning that it can be applied in severe environmental regulation areas (only in the gas firing mode).

Woodside receives final approvals for Scarborough project

Woodside has obtained the final Commonwealth environment approval required for the Scarborough environment plan to connect, commission, and operate the floating production unit.
