Awilco LNG nets contract for carrier
Awilco LNG has announced that its newly built Tri Fuel Diesel Electric powered WilForce carrier has been committed to a three-year contract with an additional one-year option to an oil and gas major.
The contract is scheduled to commence on 25th January 2014, and is expected to contribute an approximate EBITDA of US$ 23.5 million annually, during the fixed contract period.
CEO, Jon Skule Storheill, commented: “We are very pleased to have fixed WilForce, our 1st newbuilding, for a period charter with an oil and gas major while still on her maiden voyage. This fixture is a milestone in terms of bringing Awilco LNG from the construction phase to the operating phase with a client accepting only the highest standard of LNG operations.”
