Many guests attened the event, including KEPCO’s President and Director, Makoto Yagi, who named the new vessel, and his wife, who cut the rope.
About the LNG Fukurokuju
In order to reduce fuel consumption, the LNG carrier includes a new steam turbine engine that reuses steam for heating. It also utilises an advanced heat insulation system that offers the lowest LNG vaporisation rate, at 0.08%.
Upon its delivery, the LNG Fukurokuju will serve a broad range of projects including the Australia Pacific LNG Project.
