Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has announced the notification of two LNG carriers, which will be built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).
GasLog has ordered two large-scale LNG carriers from SHI, specifying the use of GTT technology.
These large LNG carriers are expected to be delivered in 2017 and will be built with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane technology, which allows for an optimised daily boil-off rate of cargo LNG.
These new orders follow four identical GasLog LNG carriers notified to GTT in 2013, which are also being built with Mark III Flex Technology.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: “These new orders for [LNG carriers] mark a further step in reinforcing our relationships with two long term partners: Samsung Heavy Industries and GasLog.”
