LNG Industry,
Burckhardt Compression has announced that it has signed a five-year service agreement with an emerging leader in the LNG shipping industry covering nine LNG carriers with Laby®-GI Compressors on board.
Building on their close and long-term partnership, the two companies jointly developed a lifecycle concept based on their operational experience gained in the field.
Burckhardt claims that this new long-term service agreement (LTSA) will bring considerable added value to the customer’s operation, such as improved lifecycle costs, operational efficiency and accurate preventive maintenance.
Rainer Dübi, President, Burckhardt Compression Services Division, said: “This LTSA is a clear expression of our customer’s long-term confidence in our ability to deliver reliable, tangible value to their business. We look forward to deepening our partnership over time.”
According to the statement, the scope of the LTSA covers scheduled maintenance of parts of the compressors, dedicated supervision, preventative maintenance via remote diagnostics, field services, and project management over a period of five years. Compressor maintenance will be executed during vessel operation for maximum efficiency. All nine LNG carriers are ME-GI powered and equipped with Laby®-GI Compressors for BOG management.
