Australian LNG projects award Trelleborg contracts

LNG Industry,

Trelleborg Marine Systems has been awarded three contracts to supply fender systems to the Queensland Curtis LNG, Gladstone LNG and Australia Pacific LNG projects on Queensland’s Curtis Island, Australia.

Trelleborg will supply the projects with state-of-the-art SCN Super Cone and ANP Arch Fender Systems. Earlier this year, Trelleborg was awarded the contracts to supply docking and mooring equipment and monitoring software.

Super Cones are the latest generation of ‘cell’ fender, with optimal performance and efficiency, renowned for their energy capacity, low reaction force and ability to withstand the impact of latest generation of container ships. The conical body shape makes the SCN very stable even at large compression angles, and provides excellent shear strength. With overload stops, the Super Cone is even more resistant to over-compression.

Arch fenders are simple and rugged, providing reliable and trouble-free service for a wide variety of berths even under the most severe conditions. The AN-fender is a traditional rubber faced unit whilst the ANP-fender can be fitted with either UHMW-PE face pads or connected to a steel panel.
