LNG Industry,
Nakilat claims that this is part of the planned and phased transition, which was announced on 19 October 2016. The vessel has a cargo carrying capacity of 216 312 m3, and is wholly owned by Nakilat, and chartered by Qatargas.
The vessel was constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea and was delivered in 2009. It has been in service ever since, and is the sixth wholly owned LNG vessel that will come under Nakilat Shipping Qatar Ltd’s (NSQL) management. This will bring the total number of vessels managed by NSQL to 14, consisting of four LPG carriers and 10 LNG carriers.
