Klaipedos nafta (KN)’s LNG reloading station has carried out its 10th reloading operation from a gas carrier to ground storage tanks.
With the global increase in the small scale LNG market, interest in the LNG reloading infrastructure located at Klaipeda has also been growing.
The 10th LNG reloading operation was carried out by the LNG transportation and bunkering ship Kairos, a vessel that has carried gas to the station from the Klaipeda LNG terminal and is owned by KN and a partner.
This was the third operation by the Kairos in Klaipeda this year. Since the LNG reloading station commenced operations in October 2017 gas carriers owned by Shell, Gasum (formerly Skangas) and other companies have also moored at KN’s berth.
