The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has named DNV GL as the ‘Risk Management Consultancy of the Year’ at the Global Risk Awards 2015 for the second year running.
DNV GL supports businesses in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. The company’s main area of expertise lies within asset, enterprise, operational, sustainability and project investment risk.
Commendation was also given to the Spadeadam test site in Cumbria, UK, which simulates major events such as fire and explosions to test the impact on buildings and critical systems to demonstrate the potential impact and examine technical solutions.
Hari Vamadevan, DNV GL’s Regional Manager for UK and Sub Saharan Africa, said: “We are extremely grateful to be recognised by IRM for the second consecutive year and are delighted to have been selected as the winner in our category, to win is a great honour.”
Keith Smith, IRM’s Director, added: “The worthy winners of this year’s Award for Risk management consultancy of the year made quite an impression – demonstrating the realities of fire and explosion risk at their Spadeadam Research and Testing Facility in Cumbria.”
