Japan's Tohoku Electric to buy Mozambique LNG

According to Reuters, Japan’s Tohoku Electric Power Co. have signed a basic agreement to buy around 280 000 tpy of LNG from Mozambique LNG project for 15 years from the start of the project’s production in the early 2020s.
It is reported that the cargoes will be bought on a delivered ex ship (DES) basis.
The deal marks the first long term purchase of LNG from continental Africa for Tohoku Electric.
