Gasunie has released its results for 2015, noting a decrease in revenue from €1.651 million in 2014 to €1.631 million. Moreover, net profit decreased from €603 million in 2014 to €533 million.

However, the company noted the growing demand for LNG. It stated that, for the fourth year in a row, the throughput of LNG at Gate terminal increased. In 2015, 21 vessels unloaded, whereas, in 2014, just 14 vessels unloaded.

Furthermore, the company stated that the number of loadings of large tankers and small scale tankers increased to 28 from just 20 in 2014. In 2015, there was an increase in the number of loaded trucks and containers to 788. This signifies significant growth from 2014, when the number was just 174.

In addition to this, in March 2015, work began for the construction of a second loading platform for small scale LNG. The platform is expected to be completed and ready to provide services in mid 2016.
