Anadarko nearing Mozambique LNG FID

According to the latest Reuters report, Anadarko is now very close to a final investment decision (FID) regarding its Mozambique LNG terminal.
This news follows the project’s recent announcement of a 15 year SPA with India’s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd for 1 million tpy of LNG; the fourth deal this month.
These deals have brought the total of the project’s committed capacity to 8.5 million tpy out of a possible 12.88 million tpy. 12.88 million tpy being the threshold Anadarko previously stated would allow it to finalise its investment in the venture.
The company is expecting to agree additional SPA’s in the near future.
