GCC patent granted to Agility Gas Technologies

Agility Gas Technology (AGT) has been granted its second GCC patent, allowing for the continuation of its mission of protecting the company’s novel technology to store and ship light, high value gases (HVGs).
This patent and others issued in the USA, GCC, and Algeria define an exciting new process to ship HVGs safely in very large modified LNG vessels. The process is drawing interest from several LNG Shipping companies.
In a statement AGT’s CEO, Charles Matar, announced: “We are very excited to receive our second patent from the GCC patent office in Saudi Arabia. Although our immediate focus is on the US market, this will allow us to start early discussions with Petrochemical companies in the region.”
The AGT process takes advantage of the current safe LNG Shipping methods that have been used for decades and adapts them to allow ships to load HVGs. Matar added “We are well positioned to take advantage of the newly established market opportunity created by the US Shale Gas exploration to ship Ethylene, Ethane, and many other gases from the USA to the Far East, Europe, and emerging global destinations.”
Dr. Edward Peterson who has more than 30 granted patents and is the inventor of AGT’s process remarked, “I am pleased that AGT received this patent to add to their IP portfolio. This process not only bridges the gap between producers of HVGs in the USA and GCC and the clients in the Far East and Europe, it allows larger quantities to be shipped more safely and economically than with existing ship designs.”
