Containerships releases 1Q17 interim report

The company claims that four LNG vessels are now under construction, and will be delivered to the company in 2018. In addition to this, Containerships claims that it has increased the number of LNG-fuelled trucks in the UK, and is looking into the possibility of increasing the number of LNG-fuelled trucks in Finland and the Netherlands.
Highlights from the report included the following:
- Net sales of €55.7 million. This is compared to €49.1 million in 1Q16.
- EBITDA of €3.5 million. This is compared to €3.3 million in 1Q16.
- Net profit of €0.6 million. This is compared to -€1.1 million in 1Q16.
- Guidance for 2017 remains unchanged. In 2017, net sales are expected to increase by 5 – 10%, and profitability (EBITDA) to improve on the previous year.
