Avenir LNG cancels newbuilding order with Keppel Singmarine

Avenir LNG Ltd has released a statement claiming that it has agreed with Keppel Singmarine to cancel the options to build its third and fourth 7500 m³ LNG carriers at Keppel Nantong.

According to the statement, Avenir is scheduled to take delivery of two carriers of the same size (already on order) from Keppel Singmarine in December this year, and March next year.

Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore has completed the independent verification of methane emissions measurements conducted on board four LNG-fuelled vessels operated by Brittany Ferries.
