SHI wins order for three LNG carriers
Samsung Heavy Industries announced that it has won an order to construct three LNG carriers for an Asian shipping company.
The order total amounts to US$ 620 million.
The LNG carriers will have a capacity of 174,000 m3 and will be delivered by 2018.
On 7 October, the South Korean shipbuilder won another order worth US$ 440 million to build three ice-class shuttle tankers for Russia’s Sovcomflot.
