According to the latest Reuters report, PTT International Trading, the trading arm of Thailand’s state energy company, has sold the company’s first cargo of LNG.
PTT International Trading, based in Singapore, is scheduled to make the cargo delivery in June. The destination of the cargo is reportedly India, and it has been sourced from an unnamed supplier.
This cargo is PTT International Trading’s first LNG transaction and the first sale of LNG by the PTT group as a whole.
Until now, Thailand has typically been an importer of LNG, having started importing cargoes for domestic use in 2011.
