Gaztransport and Technigaz (GTT) has received an order for six LNG carriers, which will be built by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
The six LNG carriers, for a European owner, are expected to be delivered between 2018 and 2019.
The LNG carriers will be built with GTT’s NO96-GW technology, which allows an optimised boil-off rate of cargo LNG.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: "The choice made for these buildings illustrates the trust given to GTT membrane technology. With this new order, 2015 is off to a very good start".
